Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with the Ada CLI in under 5 minutes.

Prerequisites

Node.js 24.0.0 or higher - Check with node --version
Lovelace account - Sign up at accounts.uselovelace.com
API key from AI provider - Get one from Anthropic or OpenAI

Installation

Install the Ada CLI via Homebrew (macOS/Linux) or the universal install script:

bash

# Homebrew
brew install lovelace-cli

# Or universal install script
curl -fsSL https://d.uselovelace.com/install | sh

See uselovelace.com/downloads for APT, WinGet, and other channels.

Verify the installation:

bash

ada --version
