Connect Ada to Apps
Ada belongs where the work is happening. Start here, choose the place where your team wants Ada, then open the guide that matches that place.
Choose The Right Guide
| App | Use it when... | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Slack | Teammates want to ask Ada questions from Slack, review account state in Ada's Home tab, and approve Ada work without leaving Slack. | Use Ada in Slack |
| Linear | Your team tracks work in Linear and wants Ada to help from issues, comments, or delegated work. | Use Ada in Linear |
| GitHub | Your team wants Ada to help from GitHub issues or pull requests where work is already being discussed. | Use Ada in GitHub |
| Discord | Your team coordinates in Discord and wants Ada available through Discord commands or mentions. | Use Ada in Discord |
| You want to email Ada directly, forward Ada a thread, or copy Ada into an email conversation. | Use Ada by email |
Shared Guides
Some questions apply across apps:
| Question | Guide |
|---|---|
| Why does Ada ask me to connect my Slack, Linear, GitHub, Discord, or email profile? | Account connections |
| Who turns a connection off, and where do admins look? | Manage Ada app connections |
| What does Ada see, and what stays in Lovelace after disconnect? | Data and history |
| Ada is not answering or the wrong app was connected. What do I check? | Troubleshoot connected apps |
Before You Connect Anything
Check three things:
- You are in the right Lovelace workspace.
- You are connecting the right outside workspace, server, organization, repository, or email address.
- The approval screen matches what the guide says Ada needs to do.
If something looks wrong, stop before approving and ask the person who owns your Lovelace workspace.
What Success Looks Like
Every guide gives you a visible first check:
- In Slack, Ada appears in the app list and answers a direct message.
- In Linear, Ada answers in the issue thread where it was mentioned or assigned.
- In GitHub, Ada answers in a supported issue or pull request conversation.
- In Discord, Ada answers a command or mention where the server allows it.
- In email, Ada replies in the same email thread.
What Turning A Connection Off Means
Turning off an app connection stops Ada from using that outside app. It does not delete Lovelace-owned conversations, Library resources, or account history. Use the guide for the app you connected; each app has its own admin surface and reconnect path.
